This 23 year old female from San Francisco, California traveled to San Diego in order to have breast revision surgery performed by Dr. Tom Pousti. She was status post previous breast augmentation and 2 breast revisions. The patient came across Dr. Pousti while researching on www.realself.com for a board certified surgeon who would be able to help her achieve her goals and correct her breast concerns.
The patient presented with significant breast asymmetry and desired to improve her outcome. During her consultation with Dr. Pousti, he recommended exchanging her current implants with new implants and also discussed going a little larger than her current 300cc volume. He also recommended performing capsulorrhaphy. The capsulorrhaphy procedure, also known as pocket correction or use of internal sutures/bra, involves closing a portion of the breast pocket to correct displacement of the implant.
The patient proceed. Her current implants are removed in order to re-augment her breasts.
She is shown below immediately post surgery and has bilateral 595cc Sientra high profile silicone gel breast implants.
